Errol Delmar Malvaney, 48, of New Orleans and formerly of Columbia and Brookhaven, were held Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia. Dr. J.

Mr Smith died Saturday, Sept. 12, at Forrest General Hospital. Born April 15, 1910, in Marion County, he joined St. John Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. In later years he united with Expose Church of God in Christ.

He served as a deacon and was a faithful member until his death. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Mae Smith; six sons, Randolph Smith of Rockingham, N.C., Robert Smith and Jerome F. Smith of Ft. Price, Anthony C.

Dr. Errol Delmar Malvaney dead at his residence in New Orleans Monday, Sept. 14. A staff physician with the Veteran's Administration Hospital in New Orleans where he was chief of staff of Rheumatoid and Joint Diseases, Dr. Malvaney had recently been appointed to the Committee of Deans of Louisiana State University and Rev.

Marsh died Monday, Sept. 14, at his home 807 Crockett W. Columbia, Texas. He is survived by his Tulane University Medical Schools. He was a graduate of Columbia High School, Millsaps College and Tulane Medical School.

The son of the late E.D. Malvaney of Brookhaven and Columbia, Dr. Malvaney is survived by his mother, Mrs. E. D.

Malvaney, Columbia; a sister, Mrs. W.W. (Betty Calloway wife and two grandchildren. Steve Calloway who teaches in Tyler, Texas, and his granddaughter, Col. Joseph M.

Strickland berg Airforce Base, Wednesday, Sept. 16. Colonel Strickland died Friday, Sept.11. A native of Mississippi, Colonel Strickland is sur- James E. officiated.

A nephew, John Henry Hibley, assisted. Interment was in the church cemetery. Mr. Williams died in Belzoni Sept. 9.

Survivors include his vived by his wife, Sarah; his son Joseph, both of Lompoc, two daughters, Janice Etehr of Ridgecrest, Calif. and Linda Mahon of PleaWilliams wife, Mrs. Evelyn L. Williams of Columbia; two sons, Michael and Mitchell Williams of Baxterville; one daughter, Kathy Toitor and two grandchildren of Sleepy Eye, two Bess Iris Brockman Antioch Cemetery. Mrs.

Brockman died Friday, Sept. 18, at her home in Columbia. She was born April 18. 1932, in Marion County to the late Chancie Pittman and Emmie Turnage Pittman. Survivors include one daughter.

Verda Stringer of Improve and Mrs. Bernice Watts of Hattiesburg: 1 four brothers, Ben Pittman of Foxworth, Clint Pittman of (Ret) Edward C. Webb He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife. Mrs.

Pauline Berry Webb; one daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Patsy) Colston, Atlanta, one grandson. Cliff; two sisters, Mrs. 0.A. Varnado of Pittsburg, Texas.

The mother is the former Smith Jr. of Foxworth. A sister, Shannon, and a great-grandmother, Mrs. Bertie Beard of Foxworth, also welcome the baby. Lisa Sims.

Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Sims of Columbia are the maternal grandparents.

Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ball, also of Columbia. Mrs. Simon Lott of Columbia is the paternal great-grandmother.

During World War II he served with the Ninth Air Force in the European Theatre, participating in air drops. He was in the original air drop over Normandy on D-Day, 1943. Webb was transfer-. red to Camp, Shelby in July, 1945, discharged in 1945. He reenlisted in 1946 as a B-17 engineer.

His awards include the American Defense Service Metal, Amer- "Over ACentury Of Service" BRO.
